  • Elizabethtown:  12:00 Noon, second Wednesday of the month, Horace Nye Nursing Home, Park Street, Conference Room

  • Hogansburg:  11:30 am - 1:30 pm, third Thursday of the month, Senior Center, 29 Business Park Road

  • Malone, 7:00 pm, first Wednesday of the month, Third Age Adult Day Center, 24 Fourth Street, Suite 7

  • Plattsburgh:  11:00 am, first Tuesday of the month, SUNY Plattsburgh, Sibley Hall located on Rugar Street, Room 403A, near Samuel D's Cafe - Respite provided, must call Third Age Adult Day Center at 564-2329 to register no later than 2pm on Friday before.

  • Saranac Lake:  6:00 pm, fourth Thursday of the month, Adirondack Medical Center, Lake Colby Drive, 1st Floor Conference Room

  • Ticonderoga: 4:00 pm, second Tuesday of the month, Inter-Lake Health, 1019 Wicker Street, Ethan Allen Library

Jay Parini, poet and novelist, teaches at Middlebury College in Vermont.  He will speaking on the topic The Books that Changed America based on his book Promised Land.  He is also the author of The Last Station, made into a recent Academy-Award nominated film, as well as biographies of Robert Frost, John Steinbeck, and William Faulkner.

$15 per person, $25 for two
